Portrait

My sister in law is leaving for a long time. She has done a lot of nice things for me, has been very supportive and giving, and now I felt like giving back. I made a little portrait of her and put it in a frame. I will give it to her, so that she would have something nice to look at while she's travelling. I hope she will take that frame with her; she might consider it too much extra weight :(((

She looks younger here than she is now, but the portrait still looks like her.

  1. Oh, that's a beautiful portrait. I'm sure she will be honored and absolutely floored by your talent and generosity. Such a sweet, sweet gesture. :)

  2. (thank you Bella for being so consistent with your visits to my humble abode :)... i wish i could offer you tea or wine.. :D )

i hope she likes it! it does compliment her a lot... i double i would have been able to make a portrait of a person i didn't know personally, or at least something about that person. would come out really flat

Bella! i got good news, i got oil pastels finally! my husband got them for me. i can upgrade to a more presentable medium now :)

  4. Hi Dusik, I always see you at Bella's and read your thoughtful comments. I thought it's time I said hello. I like your wide range of illustration types. The image with the young man and the girl is funny.

  5. Haha, I see you've met Ces! She is wonderful, both as an artist and as a person.

Oil pastels! Ohhh, your hubby knows exactly what you want, lucky girl. I've never worked with them before. I can't wait to see what you create with them!

Hi Gianlucio! thank you for the nice wishes. In Canada they don't celebrate the 8th of March, but back home it is a huge holiday! So Grazie!
